About the Internship
The communications intern will assist the department with a mix of short- and long-term tasks. The communications team collaborates with the programming teams and other colleagues throughout the foundation to develop and implement strategic communications plans that increase the impact of MacArthur’s in the world at large.
To make the internship a meaningful learning experience, the intern will participate in staff events, communications team meetings, and grantee and other practitioner briefings.
Instead of concentrating on a single social issue, the intern will contribute to all of MacArthur’s areas of activity. Candidates interested in communications, particularly as a tool for social change, will find this internship valuable.

Internship Responsibilities

Requirements for the MacArthur Foundation Communications Internship
- Interest in communications, journalism, public relations, digital communications, and/or public affairs.
